Littlemill -250th Anniversary Release -1976
Marking 250 years since the founding of Scotland’s Oldest Licenced Distillery, Littlemill presents the 250th Anniversary Release. The liquid marks Littlemill’s oldest release to date – a 45 year old unpeated spirit finished in Oloroso Sherry casks.
Designed in collaboration with Austrian photographer, Stefan Sappert, the Littlemill 250th takes its inspiration from Stefan’s cameras and lens, with the decanter and metalware crafted by long-term partners, Glencairn. Housed in a bespoke wooden cabinet containing one of 250 limited edition silver-on-glass photo plates, produced by Stefan Sappert, especially for this release. A booklet and 5cl miniature accompany each pack.
Nose: Floral elderflower and chamomile with grapefruit and lemon zest, deeper sweet notes of toffee with marzipan,almond and vanilla.
Palate: A silk-like mouthfeel floats over the tongue, with crème caramel and vanilla syrup, tart green fruits of apple, pear and lime, gentle cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
Finish: Long, with mouthwatering green fruit, some dry oak tannin followed by warming ginger and cinnamon spice.
